Appointing a Power of Attorney

who will look after your financial affiars when your ill?

If you become unable to deal with your own financial affairs because of physical or mental disability, who will look after your affairs?

The answer is simple, no one. This is because only you have the legal right to deal with your money and assets.

You can make an Enduring Power of Attorney which will meet the need in these ways:

You decide who is to deal with your financial affairs - family, financial or trusted advisor (the Attorney).

The Attorney can only act when and if you become incapable of dealing with your own affairs, until then the Power of Attorney remains in suspension. Medical evidence is required for mental incapacity. You can decide if you would like your Attorney to act in the event of physical incapacity.

You can place restrictions upon what your Attorney can or cannot do on your behalf.
